Good Governance

The Board Regulations, together with the other regulations and information made public by the company, highlight the company's commitment to good corporate governance, transparency and social responsibility.

Since 1995, the year in which the first Internal Regulation of the Board of Directors was created, Repsol has shown special concern for assuming self-regulation principles on good governance, conscious of the importance for large institutions to have a corporate governance system that guides the structure and operation of its corporate bodies in the interest of society and its shareholders.

In that same year, 1995, the Board of Directors approved the creation of its Audit and Control Committee and of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.  In 2002, the company also created its Strategy, Investments and Competency Committee and Repsol's Internal Transparency Committee.

In December 2007, the former Strategy, Investments and Competency Committee was renamed the Strategy, Investments and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, assuming powers in this last field.
