Repsol in Portugal

Portugal is a key country in Southern Europe in the marketing of fuels, lubricants, specialized products, and service stations. Petroleum products constitute some of the country's biggest exports. It borders the east and north of Spain and the west of the Atlantic Ocean.

We started operating in Portugal in 1990, and since then, we have become 1 of the top 10 companies in the country. We develop our activity in the industrial area, in particular chemicals, where we are one of the largest exporters, and in the commercial area, through more than 500 service stations, LPG, lubricants, other specialized products, and the aviation and marine sectors. We are also present in the renewable energy sector through WindFloat – the first floating wind farm in Continental Europe – and other renewable energy projects.

Our operations

Service stations

We have a network of nearly 500 service stations. Additionally, we've been recognized, year after year, in the service station category by major brand evaluation systems that include the consumer's opinion in their ratings.

Chemicals

One of the most important products we obtain at the Industrial Complex is polyethylene, a flexible, resistant, light, impermeable, and easily recyclable material.

LPG and AutoGas

In Portugal, we distribute bottled and bulk LPG and Autogas directly to end customers and other operators. We also launched the first e-commerce platform in the country.

Renewable energy

We hold a 13.63% stake in the Windfloat Atlantic project, the first floating wind farm in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the largest in the world.

Lubricants and specialized products

We handle the sales and distribution of lubricants from our commercial office.

Electricity and gas

We anticipate major trends such as the increase in electricity demand and the role of gas in the energy transition.

Renewable fuels

We were the first company in the sector to sell 100% renewable fuel on the Iberian Peninsula.

Eletrical Mobility

We are expanding our network of public and private electric charging stations.
