Monzon's Mayor, Isaac Claver, and the Development Councilor, Javier Vilarrubí, recently visited Polidux, our compounding plant located in Monzón, Huesca. There they were received by the Polypropylene Director, Fernando Arroyo, the Head of Polyolefins Production in Tarragona, Rafael Ortiz, the Polyolefins Logistics Manager, Aurora Ferri, the Product Design Manager, Luis Espinosa, and the Polidux Manager, Raúl Gimenez.

The Polidux plant in Monzón manufactures composite materials, products with high added value and high specialization, with high demand in technical sectors. For this reason, we have invested 4.5 million euros in expanding the plant's capacity, which represents an increase of almost 30%, installing a new production line for fiberglass-reinforced compounds specially designed for the automotive sector, being the most significant investment of the plant since 2006. Expansion works are already underway, and we expect the new line to come into operation this year. Thus, it consolidates our Monzón factory as a strategic plant to grow in the market for differentiated products with high added value.

This expansion also entails a reinforcement of the workforce, which has materialized with the hiring of three people from the plant environment.

Likewise, we reaffirm our commitment to differentiation and the circular economy with the recent obtaining of the UNE-EN 15343 certification in this factory, reinforcing the commitment to the growth of mechanical recycling in compounds that are being promoted in this production center. This standard certifies the traceability and content of recycled material in the polypropylene compounds that we market under our Repsol Reciclex® brand, with up to 80% recycled material.
