WindFloat Atlantic

The project aims to address major societal challenges, such as the transition to cleaner energy, energy security and climate change, while creating jobs, economic growth, and opportunities for sustainable investment.
WindFloat Atlantic's first unit will feature the largest commercially available offshore wind turbine on a floating platform.
It will be the world's first semi-submersible floating wind farm, eliminating geographical constraints when undertaking this type of infrastructure.
The project had support from private and public institutions, such as the Portuguese Government, the European Commission, and the European Investment Bank.
