RAIP

The RAIP Project develops Repsol's own AI solutions with company-wide impact and value

The project democratizes access to data and enables the use of artificial intelligence in our businesses.

The aim of the project is to develop RAIPs (Repsol Artificial Intelligence Products).

It's a catalog of modular artificial intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at facilitating and driving Repsol's current transformation into a data driven company.

RAIP components are integrated into ARiA, our cloud platform for big data and artificial intelligence. These AI tools can be accessed by the entire organization, which enables us to make decisions using algorithms that are applied to data with diverse origins and characteristics in large amounts with short availability and interpretation times.

Also, RAIP meets the following objectives:

  • Offer self-service analysis tools to qualified employees and support them as #CitizenDataScientists -> Autonomy
  • Reduce development time and make it possible to reuse models -> Agility
  • Standardize advanced analytics techniques -> Uniqueness

Thanks to RAIP's potential, we received the support of Red.es to drive the development of the following components that make up RAIP:

  • Repsolver: It allows solving and modeling optimization problems of different nature.
  • Reptil: It enables the analysis of time series and the search for patterns in real time.
  • Repsens: It makes inferences based on process variables that are difficult to measure online.
  • Replan: It aids in the application of Natural Language Processing techniques.
  • Repcom: It's used to implement computer vision techniques to obtain information about images.

The RAIP Project has been subsidized by Red.es within the framework of the 2021 call for aid applications for research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies and their integration into value chains (Spain's Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan). Also, it's supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. The grant received by the project is funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Fund.
